Traffic Violator School
is offered to anyone who has violated a traffic law, received a citation
and who has been granted permission by their Court (of Jurisdiction) to attend.
This TVS class is an approved 8 hour (400
minutes, actual class time) classroom course, designed to help improve your
understanding of the responsibilities of driving, the Rules of the Roadway and Traffic Laws set forth by the
California Department of Motor Vehicles and the California Vehicle Code.
This course is designed to insure that licensed drivers will further
their education and reestablish their knowledge of the Traffic Laws and Rules
of the Roadway. The course consists of discussion of California Traffic Laws and the Rules of the Roadway, reviewing
informational handouts (the California Driver handbook), watching instructional videos, sharing citation
stories/experiences and answering any questions, you may have, concerning these topics and/or driving, in general.
Upon completion of the course students will receive a California
Department of Motor Vehicles Certificate of Completion (form OL730). Once
the student has received their Certificate of Completion the original
copy must be forwarded to: - the Court (of Jurisdiction), from which the citation
was issued (for any California County other than Sacramento County) - the California Traffic Safety Institue (CTSI) for any citation issued in Sacramento County
The Court must have any and all paperwork by the due date
listed on your paperwork.
Midtown Traffic
School DOES NOT forward ANY paperwork to the Court(s)!
Remember: Completing this course keeps the point from being reported to your Insurance Company and
keeps your insurance premiums low!
